In 1958, seven years before the birth of the original Tiger Radio, WLSC signed on in Loris, SC at 1570 kc.

In 1965, the legendary Tiger Radio debuted on AM radio at 1520 kc.   For nearly two decades, Tiger Radio ruled the Myrtle Beach airwaves with the Boss Jock sound and established itself as "The Voice Of The Carolina Coast".

Over the years, some of the biggest names in broadcasting worked their special magic behind the Tiger Radio microphones.  Sadly, in the early '80's, the plug was pulled on the Mighty Tiger.

In 1986, WLSC started broadcasting on 1240 kc.  In 2007, Banana Jack Murphy Productions LLC purchased WLSC..
